Ok ok.. I just had to put this up. Not that I'm engulfed in Brothel's or anything, but this is just to hilarious. The way the cookie crumbles, is just unbelievable.
After my last post, Last night while watching a Political Discussion on ITN, the JVP Parliamentarian Anura Priyadharshanayapa shows a lot of pics and says that the accused "Kumari Cooray" (brothel owner) is a staunch UNP'er, her husband was an old UNP dude, and has been sited with J.R., Premadasa and invited Karunasena Kodituwakku to the so called home in Palawatte.
However I figured it was Mr. Somawanasa's younger sister that was in question. According to Mr. Priyadharashanayapa it’s the eldest sister.
Lets see what happens next.... :)

Politics is part of Sleaze all over the World. Not only in Sri Lanka. Try explaining that to Clinton.

From what I hear, the woman concern is indeed Somawansa's sister. However, her husband also happens to be a UNP politico.
but in SL there is never getting over the sleaze so the bigger issues can be focused on.. the sleaze gets revisited and rehashed so many times by the public and the politicians the more serious and important issues just get sidetracked..
JVP bugger was Anura Kumara Dissanayake, not Priyadarshana Yapa. all these anura's!

Woman "is" (allegedly) a UNP supporter, may have been seen with UNP leaders such as JR (and FYI, i believe K Kodithuwakku was an MP/ Minister from the Kaduwela electoriate where Pelawatte is) hence the 'sighting.'
None of these goes to show the woman has anything personally to do with the UNP other than being a supporter?
Based on that, would something I do attribute "blame" on MR since I'm a MR supporter?
I don't get this brothel story business anyways. Isn't it other people's private business?

Confused the arguement brought up by the JVP Anura was that it's the Party you support that counts and not which party member your related too. (If that makes sense)
As to whether it's a public or private matter. Well it's one of those moral dilemas where you have to argue whether paliamentarians can have a private life, and in this case their relatives. He he.

Imo, representatives of ppl (whatever their capacity is) is accountable to the people only within the scope of their work. A person's pvt life is their pvt life, rgdless of their profession.
